8th Air Force): VIII Air Force Base
Command, under overall logistical control of Service of Supply, is
given
primary responsibility for all supply and maintenance peculiar to
the AAF,
thus leaving much logistical autonomy to the Army Air Forces in
Britain
(AAFIB).
