The Mighty Eighth - 24 February 1942

In February 1942, guns were ready to be installed on Merchant Ships. These ships had the least amount of protection of any vessels  in the North Atlantic. My Brother in Law was a Captain on a merchant ship which got sent to the bottom by a German Submarine less than 100 miles off the East Coast of the United States.
