STRATEGIC OPERATIONS (Eighth Air Force): Mission 220: 97 of 99 B-24s hit
the V-weapon site at St Pol/Siracourt, France; 29 B-24s are damaged; no
losses or casualties; escort is provided by 84 Eighth and Ninth Air Force
P-47's and 41 P-51s; no claims, losses or casualties.

TACTICAL OPERATIONS (Ninth Air Force): HQ 370th Fighter Group and 401st,
402d and 485th Fighter Squadrons arrive at Aldermaston, England from the US
with P-47's; the unit will transition to P-38s and fly their first mission
on 1 May.
