Gordon Walker Sr at 3 Months........and Standing already !
Actually I was not Gordon Walker Sr. when this picture was taken, just
plain ole Gordon Kenneth Walker born in 1930. The Senior part did
not come along until I was 34 years old.
This picture was taken in 1937 in
the front yard at Bent Tree.
This is my Dad standing in front of his
1934 Ford Sedan. I don't have a date for this picture but probalby
around 1938

This is the exact radio that we owned when
I was a kid. We had a sitting room just off the kitchen and the
radio sat on a table just to the right of my Dad's chair. Quite often we
were not permitted to talk when my Dad was listening to the radio,
This
is a close up of the dial that allowed you to select stations. All
of the major radio stations were printed on the face of the dial.

This
is Stop 14 in Struthers as it appears today. It's almost unbelievable to
see a change such as this from what it was in the picture above.

This is my Mother sitting on the bumper of
a car that I am not familiar with. The license plate says 1928.
The Barnhart house is directly across the street. I recognize the trees in
the front yard over there but they were much larger when I was about 5
years old. The tree to the left is very young as I remember climbing up in
it when it was about 35 to 40 feet high. I also noticed that there
is some corn to the left of the car and our garden was further back than
that..
