There are any number of ways to fabricate your own wooden legs for a
Murphy Bed. Most of the legs are hinged and recessed so that they lay
flat and hidden when the bed is in the up position, however as you can see here, these legs are attached directly to the
the bed frame and act as a leg as well as a handle to pull the bed down.
Also notice that door panels were attached directly to the underside of
the bed to form the base for the mattress as well as provide the
finished facing for the cabinet.
